RED TEXAS PARROT FISH
  • The fish was developed by cross-breeding of Texas cichlid fish with blood parrotfish

  • Red Texas Cichlid and Red Texas Parrotfish are not the same
  • The body shape of the fish resembles the parrotfish, however, it’s colour pattern is a mixture of red parrotfish as well as Texas fish
  • The fish is of semi-aggressive to aggressive in nature.
  • It is always advisable to stock bigger sized fish with Red Texas Parrot Fish
  • The fish can survive well on the feeds used for other Cichlids
  • No much report on its biology and habits are available
  • This fish is supposed to be susceptible to all kind of pathogenic bacteria, parasites, fungus and viruses which are affecting normal parrotfishes; however, more studies need to be conducted
