RED TEXAS PARROTFISH: NEW FISH FOR AQUARIUM TANKS

- The fish was developed by cross-breeding of Texas cichlid fish with blood parrotfish
- Red Texas Cichlid and Red Texas Parrotfish are not the same
- The body shape of the fish resembles the parrotfish, however, it’s colour pattern is a mixture of red parrotfish as well as Texas fish
- The fish is of semi-aggressive to aggressive in nature.
- It is always advisable to stock bigger sized fish with Red Texas Parrot Fish
- The fish can survive well on the feeds used for other Cichlids
- No much report on its biology and habits are available
- This fish is supposed to be susceptible to all kind of pathogenic bacteria, parasites, fungus and viruses which are affecting normal parrotfishes; however, more studies need to be conducted
